
Mike Mulcahy,
Managing Director
Mike has a proven track record in the successful delivery of services to Pharma/Biotech Clients and is experienced in negotiation and implementation of many contracts and projects. He has been actively engaged in International Business Management for 18 years and has been leading BioUETIKON since May 2007.
Mike retains a BSc in Industrial Chemistry (University of Limerick, Ireland) and an MBA (Kingston Business School, London).

Technical Manager
John is responsible for Technical Operations and supporting new project assessment. After obtaining his PhD in Biochemistry and following three post-doctoral positions, he joined the company in 2000.
Previous to John's current position with BioUETIKON Ltd., he was a Senior Manager within the Downstream Processing Group specialising in the development, optimisation and validation of protein purification protocols for molecules proceeding to clinical trials and commercial manufacture.

Irene is responsible for overseeing BioUETIKON's quality system and ensuring compliance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and good clinical practices (GCP). She has been involved in many successful client and regulatory inspections and assists clients with documentation.
Prior to joining the company in 1999, Irene obtained her PhD in Cell Culture (Dublin City University) and held a post-doctoral research position for a number of years. In recent years, she has secured a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology (Trinity College Dublin) and has been listed as a Qualified Person on GMP Manufacturing Licences.

Senior Process Development Scientist

Cell Culture Manager
Sushma joined BioUETIKON in 2009 and is responsible for Upstream Development and Manufacture of all cell based projects at BioUETIKON. Sushma's previous roles include working for a regenerative medicine company based in Manchester, UK, for several years as a Senior Development Scientist. Prior to this she worked for a UK CMO for over 5 years, starting as a scientist and ending up as Team Leader of Cell Biology and Virology. Sushma has experience of process development and scale up prior to manufacturing of a variety of Biotherapeutics from various cell species.
Sushma obtained her PhD from the Biomedical Research Centre (University of Dundee, UK) in Virology and Cell Biology; she also holds a BSc (Hons) and MSc (Distinction) in Biotechnology.
