Mike Mulcahy

Mike Mulcahy,
Managing Director

Mike has a proven track record in the successful delivery of services to Pharma/Biotech Clients and is experienced in negotiation and implementation of many contracts and projects. He has been actively engaged in International Business Management for 18 years and has been leading BioUETIKON since May 2007.

Mike retains a BSc in Industrial Chemistry (University of Limerick, Ireland) and an MBA (Kingston Business School, London).

 

John Milne
Dr. John J Milne,
Technical Manager

John is responsible for Technical Operations and supporting new project assessment. After obtaining his PhD in Biochemistry and following three post-doctoral positions, he joined the company in 2000.

Previous to John's current position with BioUETIKON Ltd., he was a Senior Manager within the Downstream Processing Group specialising in the development, optimisation and validation of protein purification protocols for molecules proceeding to clinical trials and commercial manufacture.

 

Irene Cleary
Dr. Irene Cleary,
Quality Assurance Manager/Qualified Person

Irene is responsible for overseeing BioUETIKON's quality system and ensuring compliance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and good clinical practices (GCP).  She has been involved in many successful client and regulatory inspections and assists clients with documentation.

Prior to joining the company in 1999, Irene obtained her PhD in Cell Culture (Dublin City University) and held a post-doctoral research position for a number of years. In recent years, she has secured a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology (Trinity College Dublin) and has been listed as a Qualified Person on GMP Manufacturing Licences.

 

Paul Barham
Paul Barham,
Senior Process Development Scientist

Paul looks after Process Development and is also Analytical Manager. He has a very broad skill base, from cell culture, through all aspects of protein purification, to the development and validation of the analytical techniques required to monitor the process. Paul is part of the new project assessment team. Paul has a first class honours degree in Biotechnology. Prior to BioUETIKON Paul worked for an ISO and FDA regulated immunodiagnostic manufacturer, before taking up the role as Analytical Manager with the company in 2000.
